Chris Naegele Promoted to Brindley Engineering Project Services Department Manager.

LISLE, IL February 13, 2024 —Brindley Engineering, one of Chicago’s world-class engineering firms in capital and maintenance projects, reliability initiatives, and construction solutions, announced the promotion of Chris Naegele as project services department manager. This is an important milestone for the talent and growth story of Brindley Engineering, as the industry, more than ever, is investing money to maintain and upgrade existing facilities, keeping up with current demand and planning for a shift in demand in the future. Project services are integral to all stages of these projects, from FEL estimating to procurement, scheduling, and cost controls.

“Brindley Engineering knows that the difference between a good client experience and an unforgettable one lies in our ability to better hire, train, and grow our people and be relentlessly reliable for our clients,” said Tom Brindley, founder and president. “Chris is the perfect person to ensure that our Project Services department outperforms client expectations. Our client relationships — and our people — will thrive under his leadership.”

Clients should be excited about this role as BE is expanding beyond multidisciplinary engineering services into a full suite of project services to complement the team. Brindley Engineering’s Project Services teams will be able to supplement existing projects as well as provide independent services to existing and new clients.

Naegele has been with Brindley Engineering for eight years, most recently as a reliability engineer. In this new role, he will oversee the execution of project work and be responsible for helping individuals in the department with their personal and professional goals. He will also lead the development of the infrastructure and business for the department so Brindley Engineering and its clients can thrive.

“I am most excited to work with our team and help facilitate professional development so our people can meet their personal and professional goals. We as a department have an opportunity for rapid growth, which will create opportunities for development and leadership for many of our people — something our clients will benefit from,” said Naegele. “In this new role, my goal is to help spur growth for those around me, in which we can celebrate together as a team.”

Naegele brings a mature technical perspective based on his multidiscipline engineering and project services experience. Having experience from both these lenses will provide additional context and insight that will enhance Brindley’s deliverables and the client experience.

“I believe the biggest benefit to Brindley and our clients is investing in this leadership position that aligns with our core values. We will continue to drive forward to be successful, but only at a pace in which we can do it with good people who enhance our culture and help foster an environment of growth and success. I have experienced this in the last eight years at Brindley Engineering and will continue to carry it forward in the future,” said Naegele. “We have great people on the team with a breadth of experience that we will lean on to help facilitate high-quality work for our clients.”

Brindley Engineering is known for its great company culture. With a very low turnover rate, it’s no secret that leadership has created an environment that fosters a healthy and fun work environment. Brindley Engineering has earned National Great Place to Work recognition three years in a row in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Brindley Engineering also earned a spot on the 2023 Fortune Best Workplaces in Chicago list.

Naegele has a BS and a MS in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He lives in Glen Ellyn, IL, with his wife, Kara, and dog, Finley. Fun fact about Chris: he is an avid snowboarder and plays on the Brindley Engineering softball team.
