Mary Wollgast to join Brindley Engineering in newly created role.

LISLE, IL January 10, 2024 —Brindley Engineering, one of Chicago’s world-class engineering firms in capital and maintenance projects, reliability initiatives, and construction solutions, announced the addition of Mary Wollgast as director of client relations. This is an important milestone for the talent and growth story of Brindley Engineering, an innovative, tech-forward engineering firm founded with a vision to provide the highest level of service and client experience in the industry.

“Brindley Engineering is at a pivotal moment,” said Tom Brindley, founder and president. “Mary is the perfect addition to the team to help us continue our growth plan. She will be dedicated to our existing and new clients, making sure that their experience is nothing short of excellent with our team.”

Wollgast brings 12 years of experience in the process industries in engineering and will focus on developing industry relationships and creating internal processes that will allow Brindley to maximize engagement and communication with current and new clients along with potential employees. In this newly created role, she will be responsible for client relations, business development, marketing, leadership, and recruiting efforts.

“During my career, I’ve been able to wear different hats and see multiple angles on what goes into running successful projects. It all comes back to people. I will take the time to get to know our clients and potential clients to support them with what they need,” said Wollgast. “I believe in being a partner to our clients and will always go the extra mile for them.”

A few things that drew Wollgast to Brindley aside from the culture are the work ethic, experience, and processes that Brindley has in place. “Our staff spend a lot of time in the field, so our engineers have a deep understanding of constructability. We are also a very data-driven company. This will allow us to make educated decisions based on real-time data and facts, which can result in cost savings for our clients and better planning for future work,” said Wollgast. “I love the competitive — but cooperative — environment here. It’s a perfect combination.”

Brindley Engineering is known for its great company culture. With a very low turnover rate, it’s no secret that leadership has created an environment that fosters a healthy and fun work environment. Enjoying the people you work with is very important to everyone at Brindley, and everyone is looking to help the company grow towards its strategic vision — including adding new services and expanding its geographic footprint.

Wollgast has a BA in mass communication with a focus on advertising and PR and a minor in photography. Wollgast lives in Channahon, IL, and loves spending time with her seven nieces and nephews. Fun fact: her first job was at the age of 12 as owner/operator of a food trailer for her family’s auctioneering business!
